Stay Motivated by Shifting Perspective

Is there a dream you have but find at the end of the day you haven’t found the time and energy to dedicate to make it happen? This can be really frustrating!
A shift in perspective can make a big difference to get you in gear! Instead of thinking there are things to do, feel into how you are nurturing your dream. This sounds a bit abstract so to relate to the concept easier think of a person, possibly a child or animal you love with all your heart. Feel your love and the relationship you have with this being. Sense how effortless it is to find the energy to care for this individual. Especially with children you find the energy even when you are tired to care for them and because you love them so much. It is the same with your dreams, begin to relate to your dream as something you love and nurture the relationship in order for it to grow.
Being motivated because you love the dream and the possibility that it represents in your life. Nurture your relationship to the dream by paying attention to it. And when you don’t you feel your heartstrings pull at you because you don’t want to neglect it. This shift in perspective from your head to your heart can be a very powerful motivator!

  1. Thanks for the post, April. It's amazing what can happen when we pause long enough to make an intentional connection to what we already know moves us and fills us up. So often, we don't realize that we can get to this "home" from anywhere, anytime and once we are there, with a bit of space to breath, the options about what to do next will become obvious.
