Learn to Fall Asleep with Meditation

Ever find yourself lying in bed ready for sleep and your mind won’t shut off? The last few months I have had to practice this meditation technique to help me fall asleep since I am up several times at night feeding my baby, and every second of sleep counts when you are up at 12 and 5 am night after night.
So the next time you find yourself counting sheep and it not working try something new! Learn to meditate on Hara center to fall asleep effortlessly. So when your mind is spinning and you need some sleep take a deep breath and drop your awareness into your belly. Spend some time feeling your belly expand as you inhale and collapse as you exhale.

To go even deeper into relaxation you will want to find your Hara center, a powerful energy center located three finger widths below your belly button. Place your palms over your Hara center to really feel a connection here. Continue breathing into this energy center feeling the energy move and begin to go from warm to hot. Next visualize an orange ball of energy that grows in size, heat and power as you focus your awareness there. Continue connecting with your Hara enjoying the feeling of warmth spread through your body experiencing deep relaxation. Before you know it you will be asleep!

Simple huh? Here is the why behind how this works. The energy at your Hara is powerful because it vibrates at 8.67 Hertz per cycle the same frequency as the Earth. When you are in your head thinking, the brain cycles at a faster rate. The slower frequency at the Hara is much more healing, grounding and relaxing allowing your whole mind and body to drift into sleep.
